I seek you, yes YOU

Let's all just pretend that THIS didn't happen. That I didn't actually expect the lot of you to heed me. So, knowing how you all rock at blatantly ignoring me, let's move along now, shall we?

I need to know. And this time, I implore you, HELP ME. It is considered good in certain circles, Heaven, for example, to partake in a little charitable act now and then.

How does one make a sticky post? Is it even possible on blogger? Can I make a post that will be annoyingly THERE and in your face, each time you log on to PPP? The post that never goes away, never dies, never gives up, despite being flung your loud and probably obscene curses?

I know that amongst you, walk that rare breed of bloggers, you know, the ones who scoff at wiki for it's inacquracies, who scorn those who use Go0gle as a verb (hey, I'm not judging, coz Lord knows I *Google* everything), the Ones who are born with a Microprocessor that can beat Intel any day, embedded within their brains or some other anatomy (don't think I don't know what and where you're thinking about, you gutter-minds).

And to you, O Know-it-all, I come before you and humbly seek your expertise. I promise to make it worth your while to mentor me, because I, understand and appreciate the distance you'll need to travel, from the upper echelons down to where, mere mortal (read : blogger n0Ob) that I am, reside.

Your compensation shall be great. On this day, four years from now, you will remember how you once reached out a hand to one, less worthy, inexperienced but oh-so-willingly to absorb being.

I await you, O Know-it-all, with the greatest of anticipation and heart, clutched in hand.

go to tips-for-new-bloggers.blogspot.com

Or you could just add a widget, and select text, that's if u are using the blog editor.

Hey, thanks! Yea widgeting already crossed my mind but as you can see my side bar is way beyond cramped as it is. Sigh, probably best that I get a new template. Oh the hassle. =( I wish I know how to use WP but blogger has spoiled me and I shudder at the thought of having to fool around with CSS. I'll check out the newbies blog. :)

If your blogger template is the new one (ie using Layouts), just add a "text widget", drag it out from your sidebar onto the main body part of the layout, and paste the text you want to "sticky".

Of course, remember that this widget will appear on EVERY blog post, not just the main page. If this is what you wanted to happen, then yay!

heh, brilliant idea. Bet if I do that, my hits will be reduced to subzero. =p I really must get the hang of WP. Grrr, I feel so dumb not being able to. =(

I am old school, and like the old version (classic) for blogger. Using html you can have complete control of your page. CSS seems nice, but it's just not what I'm used to.
I used to keep a post on top of the page buy just moving the code to the top. Not in an actual post, but inside the actual template code.

BTW: You can be my new Bond girl anytime LOL!!! I was going to add one to my post, but ran out of time last night. Thanks for dropping by - I am going to add you to my page ... so I remember to stop back again.

Happy weekend from Eric, "Speedcat Hollydale"

Argh, noooo. Just the mere mention of html gives my insomnia, insomnia. Get thee far far away from me you evil, mind-twisting, madness-inducing codes!

I reckon it's best that I not fiddle around with the settings and layouts too much, think I'll just settle for getting another site to do what I want/need to do.

And you can bet I'll be looking out for the sequel so remember that I'm first in queue during audtion time aye?

Even with wordpress the same problem exists - you still need to delve into HTML to do exactly what you want, and frankly speaking, editing the CSS and HTML codes on wordpress is even more daunting than on Blogger, since Wordpress includes PHP calls into the code... :)

Yikes, you mentioned CSS (psst, such words are forbidden in my kingdom), now I know why I can't sleep all night and it's like ridiculous o'clock now. :( Why can't I just delve into a pool of thick creamy chocolate instead? Bah.
